Juliana Porotsky, Founder and Managing Director
Juliana brings to Clean Slate her passion for home and lifestyle design and for finding, creating, and curating beautiful things. Her career has been at once richly varied and characterized by an unwavering focus on applied aesthetic artistry, expressed in part through fashion, ceramics, and flower design. She launched the first-ever Versace accessories showroom in Manhattan. As a founder and owner of Kebon Home, she designed and imported Moroccan-style lamps and lighting fixtures. She was a managing partner of The Modern Chemist boutique pharmacy in Park Slope, responsible for creating and maintaining the business’s visual brand aesthetic and the store’s clean, natural look and feel. Juliana graduated from New York University with a degree in international business and marketing.
Katie Mines, Business Development & Assistant Designer
Katie has always had a keen eye for interior design and an innate ability to establish long-lasting relationships with others. Graduating from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, her studies focused on commercial real estate development, pertaining to sustainability, facilities management and design. Katie was able to take her education and natural strengths to become head of business development at Clean Slate NYC. On top of lead generation and client relations, Katie assists Juliana in staging apartments, hotel rooms and houses, both in the private residential and commercial real estate sectors. Her design approach is based on creating a well-organized and high-functioning space for clients to maximize its total use and potential. She prides herself on cultivating valuable relationships with clients and helping them bring their vision to life.
